Dental Education and Continuing Education

/Before becoming a dentist, Dr. Wambaugh attended Texas Tech University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology. He then went on to the Baylor College of Dentistry, graduating with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery.

It has always been Dr. Wambaugh’s goal to provide the best possible service to our patients and doing it to the best of his abilities and training. By continuing his education, he expands his knowledge and skills to provide the highest level of dentistry and care for our patients. 

Dr. Wambaugh completes over 50 hours of continuing education a year, emphasizing improving patient care and services for predictable long-term success. In addition to being certified in Invisalign® and sedation dentistry, he studied occlusal disease, cosmetic dentistry with veneers and direct bonding, dental implants, implant-supported dentures, and all phases of complex restorative dentistry.

As part of his continuing studies, Dr. Wambaugh is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Brazos Valley Dental Society, and the Pankey Study Club of Texas.

Our Woodlands Family and Community

/Dr. Wambaugh was born and raised in Midland, TX, and has lived and worked in The Woodlands since 1980. He and his wife, Libby, have been married for 39 years and have three children and two grandchildren. His oldest daughter, Ashleigh, is married to Scott, and they live in Arkansas and have two children, Kyle and Calla. His middle daughter is a marriage and family therapist and lives in Los Angeles. His youngest daughter, Allison, is married to Stephen and is a preschool teacher in Houston. They also have two rescue dogs, Jackson, a cocker spaniel, and Bella, a Yorkie.

When he is not working, Dr. Wambaugh enjoys hunting and fishing on the weekends with his friends. He also enjoys traveling with his wife, spending time with his children and grandchildren, collecting antiques, and preparing gourmet meals for his family and friends. He and his wife enjoy discovering new restaurants together and taking walks with their dogs. He is an active member of his church, HopePointe, and stays connected to his community by actively supporting the Montgomery County Food Bank and the South County Dental Clinic, where he provides free care to those in need.
